Rudy welcomed Avery, Ashley, and I home on Sunday morning. The four days at the hospital went well, and Avery slept quite a bit, and woke up an average of twice a night. It was VERY nice to be back in our own bed. Avery has been breastfeeding very well, and sleeping most of the day and night. We've had a bunch more visitors, and some great dinners provided by some families from church. Rudy has taken to Avery quite well, he's getting more attention than he was before since folks assume he's now #2. He's a smart little guy.
Avery had her first Dr. appointment with Dr. Lemm on Thursday. Aside from two diaper changes before the Dr. came in (not because of a long wait, but just because she had to go), it went well. She's up to 7lbs 14oz, and healthy. She travels great in the car, and likes walking around the block too. We've been able to take short walks in the evening when it cools off, Ashley is doing well and healing great. I've been keeping busy with small tasks around the house, putting in some ceiling fans and painting Alex's room. Avery did great on Sunday morning at church, and didn't make more than a peep through the whole service, or one the drive to Fresno/Auberry afterwords. We're staying with Hayley and Stephen for the week to help out around their place and hang out.
